Harry potter and the philosopher stone is about a boy who was orphaned when his mother and father were killed by lord Voldemort (every one say’s you know who because there are scared to say Voldemort). He was sent to live with his Muggle (non magic folk) uncle Vernon aunt Petunia and Dudley. On Harry’s 11thbirthday Harry finds out he is a wizard by the Hogwarts game keeper Hagrid. Harry has a grudge against the teacher Professor Snape who teaches potions, Professor McGonagall teaches transfiguration, Professor Quirell teaches defence against the dark arts Professor Sprout teaches herbology and Professor Flitwick teaches charms. Snape always has wanted the defence against the dark arts job. Harry has always hated the Dursely’s. Harry’s best friends are Ron and Hermione.
The book is a bit slow to start with but after he gets to Hogwarts it starts to get exciting. The story is based on Harry becoming a wizard and going to Hogwarts school. I would rate the book 9/10.
